Wild orchids in the Gers

In the varied flora and fauna of the Gers in Southwest France you will find a large number of wild orchids. Several of these beautiful orchids can also be found at Camping La Brouquere. A 2ha large and freely accessible field is part of the campsite terrain. On this large field the soil is quite poor and is not fertilized. In addition to many other flowers and plants, many wild orchids find their ideal living environment here. Below is an overview of such wild orchids found in this field.

Here in the Gers in Southwest France these wild orchids are not extremely rare. But to be able to find them all together at the campsite is something special. Of course we try to find other types of wild orchids here at the campsite and camping guests are welcome to join. Who knows, we might find some other beautiful species here in the Gers in southwestern France!
