Alcoholic beverages from the Gers
A large number of delicious alcoholic beverages are produced in the Gers in the south west of France. For example, the so-called 'Côtes de Gascogne' white, red and rosé wines from Gascogne in Southwest France.
But the Gers is also the heart of the Armagnac region with a wide and versatile array of long-matured golden vintage Armagnacs. The regional aperitif, the ´Floc de Gascogne´ is also based on Armagnac. And finally, there are all sorts of wonderful and special liqueurs produced by talented, experienced and motivated wine makers.

Follow the Gers Wine Route to discover the mysteries of the Armagnac vineyards in Gascony. This wine route (or in French ´Route des vins´ or ´Route du vignoble´) is not a physical route going from A through B to C. This Wine Route is more like a collection of suggestions for great tastings of these alcoholic delights at some of the best wineries in the area.
