Wild deer visiting the camping - Nature pure
Especially in the wintertime wild deer often visit the campsite looking for acorns to eat. This is a photo taken of a young male deer enjoying the peace and quiet on the campsite. Nature pure. What a geat sight!
Walking in the Gers
The Gers (Gascony) in South-West France features many official walking trails and routes, totalling to more than 1000km in length. One of the well known routes is the GR65, an ancient pilgrimage route from Le Puy to Santiago de Compostela which runs not far from the campsite.
In the immediate vicinity of the camping you will find several local walking trails taking you through the Armagnac vineyards and the bright sunflower fields surrounding the campsite. With a little luck you may even encouter wild deer, wild bore or other wild animals in this peaceful area. Have a look at this map showing these walking routes starting at the campsite.
