Description of the cycling route

Deze recreatieve cycling route 'Medieval Castles' gaat langs enkele indrukwekkende medieval castles and churches in the Gers in Southwest France. Vanaf the camping voert the tour eerst over rolling weggetjes to Polignac waar the familie Gratian uitstekende wijnen maakt op the Domaine Polignac.

Dan gaat the route door to Roques, a piepklein dorpje op a heuvel met a characteristieke church. the grote boom naast the church is of verre al te zien. Na Roques gaat the tour door to Lagardère, waar nog the indrukwekkende overblijfselen of a medieval church staan.

Vervolgens voert the route in the richting of the castle 'Chateau Busca-Maniban'. Maar eerst duikt rechts the church in Mansencôme op. Vanaf the cycling route is er a fraai uitzicht op this majestieuze church. Dan gaat the linksaf to 'Busca-Maniban'. Maar als variant kan ook the weg vervolgd worden om eerst at the Chateau the Cassaigne te gaan kijken.

In the castle 'Busca-Maniban' zijn rondleidingen but er kan ook bijvoorbeeld Armagnac geproefd worden. Hierna wordt the route vervolgd in the richting of Gondrin. Eerst gaat the lekker to beneden, but later komt er ook nog a kleine klim waarna the over a heuvelrug min of meer vlak to Gondrin back gaat.

Vlak voor Gondrin gaat the cycling route linksaf to 'La Couture' (let op dat je the afslag niet mist). Ongeveer 800m verder at a verlaten kippeschuur gaat the route rechtdoor over in a grindpad. Nog a paar honderd meter verder wordt the zelfs a gras/zandpad (wel gewoon rechtdoor gaan). Bij 'Au Cler' kom je weeron the geasfalteerde straat. Dan nog a kleine klim and a rustige afdaling back to the camping waar the fietstour na 25km eindigt.
